Introducing Wingback Whispers, an interactive chair that whispers to the user. Designed to look like a regular chair, it blends seamlessly into its surroundings, surprising the user only when they sit down. The chair features a hidden tactile transducer, which transmits sound through touch, making the audio audible only to the person seated.
This creates a unique and personal experience, evoking various emotions as the user hears distant conversations. The installation uses a Raspberry Pi system to stream live audio from a hidden microphone to the chair, enhancing the element of surprise and engagement.
